On Saturday (13 May 2017), the 2016 West Yorkshire County Cup winners Beeston St Anthonys, played in the final of the Northern Counties Cup, against Cheshire County Cup holders Ashville.
In a very tense and hard fought game, Beeston came through with a magnificent 4-3 win, goals coming from Sean Jeavons, James Allan, Steve Crawford and the fourth from the big powerful centre forward James Allan, scoring his second.
Congratulations to Beeston, winning their fourth trophy in two seasons, and to Manager Mark Halmshaw, who retires from Management duties at the end of the present campaign.
