Appeal for Witnesses – Road Traffic Collision, Beeston

Police are appealing for witnesses after a scooter rider was left with serious injuries after a road traffic collision in South Leeds early this morning (5 December 2017).

The incident happened at 3:50am on Dewsbury Road at the junction with Trentham Street when the bike and a dark-coloured Volkswagen were in collision.

The bike – a Pulse 125 Lightspeed – was being ridden along Dewsbury Road towards the city centre and the other vehicle was travelling in the opposite direction when the collision occurred.

The driver of the Volkswagen did not stop at the scene.

As a result of the incident the scooter rider was left with serious injuries.

Any witnesses to the incident or who saw the vehicles immediately before the incident are asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 155 of 5 December.
