All proceeds go to Bliss, the special care baby charity, which provides vital support and care to premature and sick babies across the UK. Founded 30 years ago, they offer guidance and information at a critical time in families’ lives. They also fund ground-breaking research and campaign for babies to receive the best possible level of care regardless of when and where they are born.
Hillside’s Building Manager, Ewan Mitchell said “My son Rhys was born 8 weeks early and I know what a difference Bliss makes. I wanted to help them in return so I have organised this cake sale”
Ewan and Zoe have been lucky that their son Rhys, although born at 32 weeks and only 4lb 2oz, did not need the help of Bliss but plenty of others have not been so fortunate. Bliss offers guidance and information at a critical time in families’ lives; funds ground-breaking research; and campaigns for babies to receive the best possible level of care regardless of when and where they were born.
