Community groups urged to get their share of Bulb Bonanza

Summer may not be over yet, but community groups are being asked to think about next spring and apply for daffodil bulbs now.

For over fifteen years Bulb Bonanza has been helping to make Leeds a more colourful and cheerful place to live and work.

This year Groundwork will be giving away 80,000 daffodil bulbs to groups around Leeds to plant at school grounds, community centres, road sides, youth clubs, or maybe a grass verge in need of a splash of springtime colour.

Bulb Bonanza is run by Groundwork Leeds, the charity that works throughout Leeds to help communities improve their environment.

If you have a space in mind, you should complete and return the application form by August 29 2014. You can download the form here: Bulb Bonanza Leaflet 2014.

Successful applicants will be notified by Monday 6 October and will be required to collect their bulbs on Saturday 18 October between 9am and 12noon from the Groundwork office in Morley.
