E-Fit Appeal: Police Release Image in Connection with Theft in Beeston.

Police in Leeds have released an E-Fit of a man they would like to trace in connection with theft in Beeston.

The incident happened on Friday 6 May around 8:30pm when the female victim went to the Tesco on Dewsbury Road, Beeston. She went to the cash point and then started to walk along Fairford Avenue where she was followed and approached from behind.

The male suspect tried to steal her handbag and knocked her to the ground in the process. He was unsuccessful and ran off down the road towards Dewsbury Road.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, aged 35, around 5ft 10″, slim build and unshaven. He was wearing a black wax coat with the hood up, dark blue jeans and dark trainers.

PC Alex Daniels, of Leeds District, said: “The victim was shaken by this incident but thankfully she was unharmed. We are releasing this image in the hope that members of the public can identify this man.West-Yorkshire-Police
