Girls in Beeston get chance to try Girlguiding

Girlguiding Leeds will be running holiday groups on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 August 2015 so even more girls in the area can benefit from the brilliant opportunities offered by guiding.

Rainbows guidingThe groups will then run for at least two days every school holiday thanks to funding from Youth United.
Girls across Beeston will be able to sample the fun, friendship and adventure of Rainbows and Brownies at two special holiday groups this month.

Girlguiding Leeds is hosting an activity-crammed introduction to Rainbows (for girls aged 5-7) and Brownies (for girls aged 7-10) on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 August.

The groups will take place at Beeston Village Community Centre – and girls across the community are being called on to come and join the fun sessions – which will cost just £2 a day.

They can look forward to a fun-filled two days packed with games, adventure and the opportunity to make new friends.

The holiday groups will then run every school holiday for at least two days thanks to funding from the Youth United Network.

Becky Hutchinson, Development Worker for Girlguiding Leeds, said:

“We can’t wait to open the holiday groups so girls in the area can have the opportunity to take part in the fun and exciting things Girlguiding does in a safe girl-only space.”

“We would love for girls to come and join us! Please get in touch to book your space.”

The holiday groups are able to take place thanks to a special fund given to Girlguiding as part of the Youth United network, on behalf of the Cabinet Office.
