Hawks help collect gifts for Radio Aire’s ‘Mission Christmas’ campaign

Mission ChristmasAs part of the Hawks new working partnership with Radio Aire, the club have been out and about collecting toys to help the Cash for Kids ‘Mission Christmas’ campaign.

Thousands of children in poverty will wake up to a Christmas without presents this year and that’s why our very own kit man Trevor Brown and General Manager Peter Todd have been helping Cash for Kids to collect presents across the city using the Hawks minibus.

Colin Smith and Kath Smith, Directors of our new main club sponsor PIMS, kindly donated a number of presents to the cause on behalf of the club. These gifts will go to the disadvantaged children of the local area to make their Christmas morning that little bit brighter, so a massive thank you to Colin and Kath on behalf of the club.

Hunslet HawksYou can still drop gifts off at the Hawks office at South Leeds Stadium on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s 12-8pm up until Thursday 12 December. Gifts should be brand new and unwrapped for children aged 0-18 years old. The office is open at alternative times, however please ring 0113 271 2730 in advance to ensure someone is in the office.

We hope to see you helping Hunslet Hawks and PIMS to support Mission Christmas and Cash for Kids this year. Together we can put smiles on local vulnerable children’s faces this Christmas!
