Hunslet Club Launches Year 11 After School Courses Towards Employment

The Hunslet Club is launching free vocational training courses for year 11 students in South Leeds who are interested in learning a trade & gaining an apprenticeship or going onto further education.

The courses start from September, funded by the Leeds City Council Inner South Area Committee, will give students an opportunity to gain an invaluable qualification in mechanics, construction, hair & beauty or catering.

Says Donna Hall at the club “If you’ve got ambitions to get into one of those industries & are willing to spend a couple of hours a week after school learning them here, we will help you get a recognised qualification and an apprenticeship or work experience with a local employer.”

The club is also interested in hearing from any local employers in construction, mechanics, hair & beauty or catering industries who may be willing to provide work experience or an apprenticeship to a student at the end of the course. Please email friends@hunsletclub.org.uk for further information.
