Hunslet man steps up to help local hospice

Hunslet man Dean Hall is next week undertaking an epic 56 mile hike from the outskirts of Leeds all the way to Scarborough, in a single 24 hour stretch – to raise money for local kids charity, Martin House.

Dean (42) – with friend Karl Blackburn, from Rothwell – will be setting out on the morning of Friday 7th April from the Martin House hospice itself, in Boston Spa near Wetherby. They aim to walk all day and all night – past York, Castle Howard and Pickering – to reach the medieval Scarborough Castle on the East Yorkshire coast the following morning.

Dean commented:

“I realise that – as difficult a challenge as this is going to be, and painful – it is all worthwhile, as Martin House is an amazing charity for families in times of need. Many thanks to everyone for their support: all donations are gratefully received, to raise as much for this fantastic cause.”
