Losing weight led to a new career

Local woman Tracy has lost over 2 stone in weight and has landed herself a dream job as a Slimming World consultant at the age of 49.

slimming world logoTracy had been overweight most of her adult life, with low self esteem and very little confidence, but all that changed when her daughter asked her to join Slimming World with her. The thought filled her with dread, but not wanting to let her daughter down she agreed to go along.

They couldn’t believe what a warm and friendly group it was and they were made to feel really welcome. Even more amazing was the plan, simple everyday food that all the family could enjoy. No cooking separate meals, even better all the family were eating the same healthy food which meant saving money too.

Tracy reached her target weight and felt amazing, so much so she has trained to become a Consultant. She now runs her own group on Tuesday evenings at 7pm at Tenants Hall, Acre Close, Middleton so she can offer the same help and support that she was given.

Having lost the weight and being at target for over two years Tracy said:

“I cannot believe how much my confidence has grown since losing weight. I am no longer unemployed and now have a fantastic new career. I feel full of life and can now keep up with my four grandchildren, I can be the grandma I always wanted to be.”

  1. I can confirm that Slimming World has worked for me. Quite a struggle as life and food get in the way, I joined on the 1st July last year and on the 30th September I got to my first target of losing 2st 10 lbs. This means I am back to where I was at 18 when I first went to a Sliming Club in Morley. I even got into a dress that I made when I was a teenager. Not giving my age away but it has been a long time.
