Middleton Park Bonfire set to draw thousands to park tonight

The annual Middleton Park Bonfire is set to draw thousands of people  to Middleton Park tonight.

The fire is being lit at 7 pm and the fireworks display is due to start at about 7.30pm. The event is being organised by Leeds City Council and is sponsored by Land Securities and the White Rose Shopping Centre.

Despite the pouring rain, several thousand people from across south Leeds and beyond enjoyed last year’s spectacular bonfire and fireworks display in Middleton Park.

You can also share YOUR photographs of Middleton Park and other bonfires on the South Leeds Life group flickr pool – we’d love to see them and include a selection on the blog!

If you have any details of any local bonfires you’d like to see publicised, do please add them to the comments section below.
