Mixed Adult Social Tennis
This meetup takes place every Thursday, 10am-12pm, indoors at John Charles Centre for Sport Tennis Centre.
This meetup is organised and hosted by the Leeds City Council John Charles Tennis Centre coaching team. All coaches are fully trained and qualified to LTA standards.
This tennis session is aimed at established players who can serve and hold a rally.
Equipment is provided: tennis balls and (if necessary) a racquet.
Cost
This session is run on a ‘pay and play’ basis, so there’s no need to book in advance with the tennis centre – although, please RSVP ‘yes’ on meetup. Cost is £6.20 per 2 hour session, or £5.60 if you have a “Leeds Card”

Format
Social tennis involves a series of short tennis matches, swapping opponents and tennis partners throughout the session. Matches are normally in the doubles format.
It’s not a coaching session – the idea is that people get to play competitive tennis – but the coaching team may slip in a few tips and suggestions when appropriate.
Depending on the number of people attending, it may be that for a few minutes each session players will be sat out. Things are managed so this is kept to a minimum.
A free coffee or tea is provided each session.
