New Toy Library opens in Beeston

What do you do when your child needs new toys that you can’t afford or are too big to store in your home? Parents in Beeston Hill can make use of the St Luke’s Toy Library.

Connor browses the library with help from Dad Ewan and Abbie

The library runs out of St Luke’s Church on Malvern Road and is open every Tuesday morning from 9:30-11:15am during the regular Tots, Tea and Toast sessions.

Abbie, one of the organisers, explained how it works:

“It’s just like a book library really. You can come and browse our selection of toys, you can even try them out during the play session. Then you can borrow them and bring them back next week.

“We plan to extend our stock of toys, games and books for 0-7 year olds, so if you have any that are no longer used and are gathering dust, please bring them down.”

You can contact the group via Facebook: www.facebook.com/stlukestoylibrary/ or just drop in on Tuesday mornings.
