A section of Cross Flatts Park in Beeston has been closed to the public this morning.
Blue “Police – Do Not Cross” tape was strung right across the width of the park above and below the bowling greens and the Watsonian Pavilion.
Police Community Support Officers at the scene explained that the area was being kept clear for a forensic search team following an incident. No one had been hurt in the incident and contrary to rumours, there was no body in the park.
UPDATED
The Yorkshire Evening Post are now reporting that the Police are searching for drugs in the park, following an incident at an address on Cemetery Road on Sunday night.
