South Leeds success at Yorkshire In Bloom awards

It’s becoming an annual ritual for South Leeds’ gardening groups to win awards at the RHS Yorkshire In Bloom Awards, but this year two awards stand out: Holbeck In Bloom won Gold for the first time and Cross Flatts Park won Platinum.

Other local winners were:

  • Park Fisheries – Gold
  • Beeston In Bloom – Silver Gilt
  • Holy Spirit garden, Tempest Road – Outstanding
  • Cottingley In Bloom – Improving

Ian Pickup from Holbeck In Bloom said:

“I’m absolutely over the moon. We’re only a small group, trying to make a difference and brighten up our part of South Leeds.”
