Witness appeal: attempted robbery on Dewsbury Road

Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery at a letting agents on Dewsbury Road in Beeston last week.

Catlows cctvAt around 4.30pm on Wednesday 12 August 2015, three men entered Catlow’s Estate Agents on Dewsbury Road and made demands for money. A struggle has taken place with a male member of staff resulting in him requiring hospital treatment for cuts and bruises to his head and leg.

The three men have left the lettings agents empty-handed heading towards Robb Street.

The suspects were all wearing masks and predominantly dark clothing with high-vis vests/jackets.

As part of an appeal for information, detectives have released a CCTV image taken shortly before the offence.

Detective Constable Tony Thompson, of Leeds District CID, said:

“We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of this attempted robbery who can provide information about these mens’ movements prior to and after this offence. We are particularly keen to hear from any witnesses who have seen the suspects get out of or in to a vehicle around this time.”
